Rolwaling is a forgotten, mysterious land, which is separated by only one pass from the Khumbu. The main rolwaling valley is watched over by lesser known peaks such as Chobo Bamare, Chekigo, Kang Nachugo, Dragnang Ri and so on. These northern valley hosts Buddhist communities whose ancestry can be traced back to Tibet. Mystical monasteries grace the landscape, blending into the majestic visions all around.
Normally the trek can be done in two leisure weeks, which allows for extra days and acclimatization. Regarding accommodation, much of the area is supplied with basic lodges and food, avoiding the need to camp. Spring and autumn are the best season for trek in this region and the best time to trek in this region is between late October and mid-December.
